Faculty of Pharmacy

The Faculty of Pharmacy offers Postgraduate Degree programmes in Pharmaceutical Sciences:

Scientific research and postgraduate studies are fundamental pillars of any university and serve as key indicators of its academic standing and global reputation. The Faculty of Pharmacy at the British University in Egypt aims to prepare highly qualified graduates with advanced academic degrees beyond the undergraduate level. The Faculty is committed to equipping these graduates with robust research capabilities and fostering creativity through comprehensive, specialized research-based programmes designed to meet the needs of the labor market and keep pace with global scientific advancements. The British University in Egypt is a private Egyptian university operating under the regulations of the Egyptian Universities Organization Law (Law No. 49 of 1972) and the Private and Non-Profit Universities Law (Law No. 101 of 1992). The University adheres to the regulations governing postgraduate studies as approved by the Supreme Council of Universities and the Council of Private and Non-Profit Universities.

Objectives of the Postgraduate Studies Sector:
1. Ensuring that the Faculty and university’s research plan aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to achieve Egypt’s Vision 2030.
2. Directing scientific research toward solving societal challenges in the field of healthcare system support.
3. Enhancing and supporting scientific research, funded research projects, and interdisciplinary studies across various specializations.
4. Encouraging and supporting international publications to improve the ranking of the faculty and university.
5. Strengthening collaboration with local and international research institutions.
6. Offering postgraduate programs that meet labor market needs and keep pace with modern advancements in the pharmaceutical field.
7. Supporting innovation and creativity, including patent registration.

Faculty of Pharmacy offers five different postgraduate programmes:

1. Master of Pharmaceutical Sciences in Pharmacology and Toxicology (40 Credit Hours)

2. Master of Pharmaceutical Sciences in Pharmaceutics and Pharmaceuical Technology (40 Credit Hours)

3. Master of Pharmaceutical Sciences in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (40 Credit Hours)

4. Professional Master of Cosmecuticals (50 Credit Hours)

5. Professional Master of Pharmacovigilance (50 Credit Hours)
