Study Regulations:
M.Sc is a 36 CR.hr program, divided as follows:
- Obligatory 12 CR.hr modules of level 500
- Elective 12 CR.hr modules of level 600
- Thesis 12 CR.hr
M.Eng is a 33 CR.hr program, divided as follows:
- Obligatory 12 CR.hr modules of level 500
- Elective 12 CR.hr modules of level 600
- Project9 CR.hr
- Non Petroleum Engineers will study additional 12 CR.hr pre-requisites modules that wont get in the calculation of the GPA.
- Minimum study time is 4 semester (excluding summer semester).
- Maximum study duration is 8 semester (including 4 summer semesters).
- Credit hours registration is maximum 12 CR.hr /main semester.
- Credit hours registration is maximum 6 CR.hr/summer semester.
- Credit hours registration for thesis/project is maximum 6 CR.hr/semester.
- Passing grade in any module is 2.3 (C+).
- Cumulative grade to graduate from M.Sc is 3.0 (B).
- Cumulative grade to graduate from M.Eng is 2.7 (B-).
- Attendance of 75% is required.
Admission Requirements:
- B.Sc in any major of Engineering from a university accredited by the Supreme Council of Universities or a Postgraduate diploma in Engineering.
- Non BUE graduates are required before the end of the first year to submit a TOEFL certificate with a minimum score of 450 or any equivalent international English language certificate.
- Certificate of military service completion or exemption for a minimum of 2 years.
- Valid visa for 2 years, for non-Egyptians.
- Payment of fees.
