The Faculty of Arts & Humanities offers three postgraduate programmes:

- MA in Linguistics and Translation

- MA in Comparative Literary and Cultural Studies

- MSc in Clinical Psychology

MA in Linguistics and Translation

The Faculty of Arts & Humanities offers an M.A. in Linguistics and Translation that builds upon the department’s undergraduate tracks of

  • a) Applied Linguistics
  • b) Translation.

The programme is characterised by interdisciplinary and innovative fields that offer opportunities for current and market-relevant research areas, as well as potential career prospects. The different sub-tracks within this degree share a number of core and elective modules.

The M.A. Degree in Linguistics and Translation is a full-time, four-term program. During the first term, students will study four core modules, followed by three elective modules in the second term. These elective modules carry a combined weight of twenty-one credits (three credit hours each) and are delivered over two fifteen-week semesters. It's important to note that week thirteen is dedicated to revision, while weeks fourteen and fifteen are designated as final assessment weeks.

Typically, a three-hour credit module requires approximately 100 hours of student effort, which includes around 50 hours of student-instructor contact time. The remaining time is allocated for coursework, seminars, self-directed study, and assessments.

The last two terms of the programme are solely dedicated to working on the thesis, which accounts for a total of 21 credit hours. Consequently, the entire program amounts to a total of 42 credit hours.
