Undergraduate Scholarships
The British University in Egypt offers a generous range of scholarships based on a variety of criteria as shown below.
Students who get accepted for scholarships must also note the following:
- Scholarships are awarded only for the first year (with the exception of Academic and Sports Scholarships which can be maintained under certain conditions - as mentioned below).
- All scholarships apply only to the Tuition element of the Fees.
- Scholarships apply to enrolled and progressing students only.
Academic Scholarships-Academic Year 2023-2024
* Category B corresponds to a 15% scholarship; category A corresponds to a 25% scholarship and Category A* corresponds to a 30% scholarship on the tuition element of the fees. This applies to all programmes, except for the Dentistry programme where Category B corresponds to a 5% scholarship, Category A corresponds to 10% scholarship and Category A* corresponds to a 15% scholarship on the tuition element of the fees.

Types of Certificate
* French Baccalaureate – IB – Canadian Diploma – German Abitur- Nile Schools and all other international certificates are classified in the same categories as the IGCSE.
* Alazhar and STEM certificates are classified as Egyptian Thanwya Amma

Additional Scholarships & Discounts
* The British University offers a range of additional scholarships and discounts based on the criteria as shown below.
* Additional scholarships and discounts are offered in addition to the academic scholarships categories (A*-A-B) to a maximum added value of 20%, with the exception of Sports and Guardian Deceased (where the greater total value will be awarded)
* All scholarships apply to the Tuition element of the Fee only.
* All scholarships are awarded for the first year only (with the exception of Academic and Sports Scholarships which can be maintained under certain conditions).
Sports Achievement Scholarship Terms & Conditions:
NB: The Egyptian Sports Federation for Universities does not arrange competitions for Non-Olympics Sports, as such Sports Scholarships are not available for rankings in these sports, e.g. skydiving, dodgeball, etc.
International Level: World championships – African Championships, Mediterranean Championship, Arab-African-International Universities Championship
National level: Egyptian Arab Republic Championship
Governorate level: Universities Tournaments, Sectors Tournaments, Governorate Tournaments.
