ENERGY & ENVIRONMENTAL ENGINEERING Faculty

Why Join the Faculty of Energy and Environmental Engineering (FEEE)?

Four-Year Degree Structure: All undergraduate programs are completed in just 4 academic years, offering students a faster path to graduation, employment, or postgraduate study compared to traditional five-year engineering tracks.

Dual Degree from BUE and LSBU (UK): Students graduate with 2 degrees one from the British University in Egypt and another from London South Bank University, giving them a globally recognized UK qualification alongside their Egyptian degree.

Multi-Disciplinary Programmes with Majors and Minors: The faculty offers five interdisciplinary engineering programmes in energy and sustainability, allowing students to choose both major and minor specializations based on their interests and career goals.

Strong Industry Collaborations and Internships: The faculty partners with leading local and international organizations including PETROJET, ENPPI, CORC, SES Egypt, Rawabi Energy, and Green Energy GmbH providing students with internships, workshops, field visits, and real-world project opportunities.

International Exposure through Global Projects and Partnerships: FEEE actively participates in international initiatives such as the EU-funded SOLAR INDUCE project and collaborates with institutions like the Academy of Art and New Technology (AANT) in Rome, offering summer schools and global innovation projects.

Certified Training with RENAC (Germany): In partnership with the German Renewables Academy (RENAC), the faculty delivers specialized courses by international experts in renewable energy. Students receive internationally recognized certificates, boosting their global competitiveness.

Research Excellence and Global Publication: Both faculty members and undergraduate students contribute to cutting-edge research, regularly publishing in Q1 and Q2 international journals across fields such as renewable energy, oil and gas engineering, carbon management, and green technologies.

Advanced Labs and Research Centres: The faculty hosts several state-of-the-art facilities, including the Centre for Renewable Energy (CRE), Centre of Excellence for Preventive Maintenance (CEPM), FabLab Research Lab, and Wind Tunnel Lab, supporting hands-on learning and innovation.

Seminars with Global Experts and Industry Leaders: Students engage in seminars, panels, and workshops featuring high-profile speakers from the European Commission, leading energy companies, and international organizations enhancing their industry knowledge and professional networks.

Student-Cantered Learning and Expert Faculty: With smaller class sizes and dedicated academic staff, FEEE offers personalized support, interactive learning, and close mentorship. Many faculty members hold memberships in international bodies.

Structured Skill Framework: A curriculum-embedded professional skills framework delivered across all programmes, ensuring every student develops essential industry skills in project management, Health, Safety & Environment (HSE), technical reporting, and analytics alongside their technical specialisation.
