UNDP
The British University in Egypt (BUE) is proud to be the first university in the region to commit itself to aligning with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), by signing a Memorandum of Understanding with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).
The signing of the MoU with the UNDP took place February 2022, and was witnessed by the British Ambassador to Egypt, H.E. Gareth Bayley.
This MoU - signed by President and Vice-Chancellor Mohamed Loutfi and Mr. Alessandro Fracassetti, Resident Representative of the UNDP, shall support the University’s agenda towards enhancing action-oriented research towards achieving Sustainable Development Goals, enforcing sustainability and innovation cultures in the University and the local community, promoting the concept of ‘a sustainable campus’ as well as support the implementation of Haya Karima’s sustainability agenda.
