The Faculty of Communication and Mass Media at the British University in Egypt has officially launched its Industrial Advisory Board for the Academic Year 2025–2026, bringing together leading professionals from journalism, broadcasting, film, digital media, strategic communication, and media technology to strengthen the link between academic study and industry practice.
During its inaugural meeting, the Board emphasised the need for academic programmes that remain responsive to rapid technological, editorial, and managerial developments in the media sector. Members recommended enhancing student employability through structured training pathways, increasing year-round industry engagement, and embedding ethical communication and cultural literacy across the curriculum. They also highlighted the importance of integrating real-world case studies, national media archives, and contemporary industry challenges into teaching.
The Board advised the faculty to reinforce industry-integrated curriculum updates, develop postgraduate and executive training tracks in media management, explore innovation and incubation initiatives for student projects, expand participation in regional media events, and formalise communication channels for continuous collaboration.
The Industrial Advisory Board is responsible for offering specialised consultations to align academic programmes with market needs, supporting internships and applied learning, contributing to curriculum development, and enhancing the faculty’s visibility and impact within the media sector.
Members include prominent figures such as Mr Ezzat Ibrahim, Ms Nadine Khan, Mr Samir Omar, Ms Noha El-Nahass, Mr Rob Bannochie, Ms Diana El-Daba, Mr Ali Shaaban, Ms Nashwa Gad, Mr Waly Dolaty, Ms Nihal Saad, Mr Alaa Al-Ghatrifi, Ms Safaa Faisal, Mr Sherif Abudakika, Mr Mohamed Magdy, Mr Hisham Soliman, and Mr Ahmed Kamal.
