Strategic Partnership to Establish AHA-Certified Training Center
BUE Faculty of Nursing and Magdi Yacoub Foundation Join Forces to Advance Life-Saving Training and E
The Faculty of Nursing at the British University in Egypt has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Magdi Yacoub Foundation (MYF) / Aswan Heart Association to serve as an official Training Centre representing the American Heart Association (AHA).
This partnership aims to establish a certified Training Centre at the Faculty of Nursing, which will be authorised to:
- Conduct Training of Trainers (ToT) programmes.
- Provide Basic Life Support (BLS) training for healthcare and community personnel.
- Offer Advanced Life Support (ALS) courses for healthcare professionals.
The collaboration will strengthen capacity-building initiatives in life-saving skills and ensure alignment with international standards in emergency care training.
The signing ceremony was attended by Prof. Yehia Bahei-El-Din, Founding Director of the Centre for Advanced Materials at the British University in Egypt; Prof. Maha Adel, Dean of the Faculty of Nursing at the British University in Egypt; Dr. Mohamed Zakria, Hospital Director at the Aswan Heart Centre – MYF; Mr. Mahmoud Abd Elhay, Chief Nursing Officer; and Mr. Mohamed ElKhatib, Director of Nursing Education.
This marks a significant step forward in empowering future nursing professionals through a meaningful academic and clinical partnership.
