Website Developer- Marketing Communications Office
Job Purpose
The Website Developer will contribute to the development and maintenance of web-based applications in the British University by leveraging a diverse skill set in programming languages, frameworks, and technologies to ensure they are robust, scalable, and user-friendly.
He/She will be utilizing a combination of front-end and back-end technologies to deliver high-quality solutions that meet the needs of the British University and its users.
Job Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain web-based applications using C#, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, and SQL Server.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and understand requirements and translate them into technical specifications and solutions.
- Design and implement user interfaces that are responsive, intuitive, and visually appealing using Bootstrap framework.
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code following best practices and coding standards.
- Perform thorough testing and debugging of the British University web applications to ensure high performance, reliability, and security.
- Optimize web applications for maximum speed and scalability.
- Maintain and enhance existing web applications by identifying areas for improvement and implementing necessary updates and enhancements.
- Keep abreast of emerging technologies, trends, and best practices in web development, and propose innovative solutions to address business challenges.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers as needed.
- Collaborate with other developers, designers, and stakeholders to ensure seamless integration and compatibility of web applications across different university platforms and browsers.
Job Requirements
Educational Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Web Developer or similar role, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in web development.
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in programming languages including C#, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, and SQL Server.
- Strong understanding of web development concepts and techniques, including responsive design, cross-browser compatibility, and web accessibility standards.
- Hands-on experience with Bootstrap framework and ASP.net.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
