Talent Acquisition Specialist- Human Resources

Job Purpose

The Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for managing the end-to-end recruitment lifecycle to attract, assess, and hire qualified academic and administrative candidates aligned with the university's needs. The role ensures timely hiring, an exceptional candidate experience, and the consistent application of effective sourcing, screening, and selection practices across all faculties and departments.

Job Responsibilities

  • Manage the full recruitment cycle: job posting, multi-channel sourcing, CV screening, interviewing, offer management, and onboarding coordination.
  • Source candidates actively via sourcing platforms and university career portals to build a diverse and qualified talent pool.
  • Build and maintain a proactive talent pipeline for recurring and anticipated vacancies across academic and administrative functions.
  • Schedule interviews, assessments, and panel discussions with hiring managers and head of departments.
  • Conduct structured competency-based interviews to evaluate candidates effectively and fairly.
  • Ensure a positive and professional candidate experience at every stage of the hiring journey.
  • Communicate clearly with candidates regarding timelines, feedback, and next steps.
  • Maintain and update the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) accurately and consistently throughout all recruitment stages.
  • Utilize recruitment dashboards and data analytics to monitor KPIs (e.g., time-to-fill, offer acceptance rate, source effectiveness) and recommend improvements.
  • Ensure full compliance with Egyptian Labor Law, university HR policies, and data confidentiality requirements.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for candidates and hiring managers throughout the recruitment process.
  • Undertake additional duties as assigned by the line manager.

 

Job Requirements

Educational Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

Experience

  • 2–3 years of experience in recruitment, talent acquisition, preferably within a large organization or higher education institution.

Technical Skills

  • Knowledge of recruitment techniques, interviewing methods, and selection tools.
  • Familiarity Wuzzuf and LinkedIn sourcing.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and HR systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar).
