Physiotherapy Clinician

Job Purpose

The Physiotherapy Clinician will play a crucial role in providing specialized physiotherapy services. He/She will be working in the Outpatient Clinic of the Faculty of Physiotherapy. The Physiotherapy clinician will utilize their expertise to assess, diagnose, and treat different specialists (including but not limited to musculoskeletal conditions or pediatric), injuries, and mobility limitations.

Job Responsibilities

- Utilize clinical reasoning and diagnostic skills to formulate accurate diagnoses and treatment plans.


- Perform physical examinations and interpret diagnostic tests, such as X-rays, MRIs, and ultrasound scans.


- Develop individualized treatment plans based on patients' needs, goals, and medical history.


- Implement evidence-based physiotherapy interventions, including manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, electrotherapy modalities, and patient education.


- Monitor patients' progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to optimize outcomes and achieve functional goals.
- Provide rehabilitation services to facilitate recovery from injuries, surgeries, or chronic conditions.


- Guide patients through therapeutic exercises, functional training, and ergonomic modifications to improve mobility, strength, and flexibility.


- Maintain accurate and comprehensive patient records, including assessment findings, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries.


- Adhere to regulatory requirements, professional standards, and university policies regarding documentation, confidentiality, and data protection.


- Provide health promotion and education initiatives on topics related to musculoskeletal health, injury prevention, ergonomics, and physical activity.

 

- Deliver training or group exercise classes to promote wellness and empower individuals to take an active role in their health.

 

Job Requirements

Educational Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree (BSc) in Physiotherapy from a recognized academic institution.
- Registered in General Physical Therapy Syndicate.

Experience

- A minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience as a physiotherapy clinician.
- Experience working with student populations or athletes in a university or sports medicine setting.
- Specialized training or certification in areas such as sports physiotherapy, manual therapy, or orthopedic rehabilitation.

Technical Skills

- Clinical experience as a physiotherapist, preferably in a healthcare or educational setting.
- Strong clinical reasoning, assessment, and treatment skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse populations.
- Commitment to evidence-based practice, continuous learning, and professional development
