The British University in Egypt recently soared to the pinnacle of success, securing the top position among private and non-governmental Egyptian universities in the Arab Ranking of Universities 2023, and 25th position overall. President and Vice-Chancellor, Professor Mohamed Loutfi, proudly accepted the prestigious award on behalf of our University, at a ceremony organised by the Union of Arab Universities in collaboration with the League of Arab States and the Arab Organisation for Education, Culture, and Science (ALECSO). The ranking marks our achievement in the realm of Higher Education both locally and regionally.

The Arab University Rankings for 2023 shed light on the robustness of higher education throughout the Arab region. The ranking meticulously assesses universities across their fundamental missions, including teaching, research, societal impact, and international engagement, offering a thorough and well-rounded basis for comparison.

The Ceremony served as a platform to recognise the excellence and dedication of academic institutions throughout the region. It took place under the patronage of H.E. Mohammed Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and H.E. Amr Ezzat Salama, Secretary-General of the Association of Arab Universities, where leaders and representatives from diverse educational backgrounds gathered to honour outstanding academic achievements.
