Ms. Farida Khamis, our Chair of the Board of Trustees at The British University in Egypt, has been appointed as a member of the Board of Trustees for the Presidential Initiative "Alliance and Development." The announcement was made by Professor H.E. Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research.

The "Alliance and Development" Initiative brings together a distinguished group of academics, industrialists, government officials, and ministry leaders to foster collaboration across education, scientific research, and industry. The initiative focuses on directing financial support towards alliances that promote integration at multiple levels, aiming to advance academic, research, and industrial development.

Spanning seven regional alliances—Greater Cairo, Northern Province, Alexandria, Delta, Canal and Sinai, Central Upper Egypt, Northern Upper Egypt, and Southern Upper Egypt—the initiative is designed to drive regional progress and enhance national capabilities in education and research.

Ms. Khamis’s selection highlights her impactful contributions to education and her leadership in fostering innovation, aligning with the initiative’s goals of integration and sustainable development.
