Faculty of Nursing Hosts Mental Health Workshop with Hager Moharam
As part of The British University in Egypt's ongoing commitment to supporting student well-being, nursing students recently participated in an empowering two-hour workshop on mental health and emotional resilience, led by Ms. Hager Moharam.
The workshop, held during Week 9, addressed the emotional and psychological demands of Nursing education, from rigorous academic pressures to the emotional intensity of clinical exposure. The session provided a supportive space for students to reflect, reset, and reconnect with their own well-being.
Through interactive, real-life activities, students explored:
-
Practical strategies to manage stress and maintain mental balance
-
Techniques to prevent burnout
-
Approaches to sustaining emotional health while caring for others
Hager Moharam offered valuable insights and self-care tools that are essential for any aspiring healthcare professional. The workshop not only provided knowledge but also fostered a culture of empathy, reflection, and peer support.
This initiative served as a powerful reminder that taking care of others starts with taking care of yourself, and that mental health is foundational to personal and professional success in medicine.
