ERP Oracle System Specialist - Finance
Job Purpose
The ERP Oracle System Specialist supports, maintains, and optimises the university’s Oracle ERP system to ensure effective finance operations, system integration, and user support across departments. The role is responsible for managing ERP modules, troubleshooting issues, coordinating enhancements, and ensuring data integrity and process efficiency.
Job Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain the university’s Oracle ERP system, ensuring availability, performance, and reliability.
- Monitor ERP system functionality and resolve technical issues in coordination with internal teams and external vendors.
- Support the implementation, configuration, and enhancement of Oracle ERP modules based on business requirements.
- Analyse system workflows and recommend process improvements to maximize ERP efficiency.
- Manage user access, permissions, and security roles in line with university policies.
- Ensure accurate system data management, including validation, migration, and reconciliation of ERP records.
- Provide technical support and guidance to end users on ERP-related issues and system usage.
- Coordinate system testing for upgrades, patches, and newly implemented functionalities.
- Generate ERP reports and dashboards to support finance management decision-making.
- Monitor system integrations between Oracle ERP and other business applications.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, data governance, and audit requirements.
- Conduct user training sessions and support the adoption of ERP enhancements.
- Stay updated on Oracle ERP developments and recommend relevant upgrades or best practices.
- Undertake any additional duties as assigned by the line manager.
Job Requirements
Educational Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information
- Systems, Computer Science or related field.
Experience
- 3-5 years of experience
- Professional certification in Oracle ERP or related enterprise systems is preferred.
Experience
- working with ERP modules
- such as Finance, Procurement, or
- Student Records Systems is preferred.
- Experience in higher education or large
- institutional environments is preferred.
Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of Oracle ERP
- modules and administration.
- Understanding of business process analysis and system integration.
- Strong troubleshooting and problemsolving skills.
- Knowledge of SQL, reporting tools, and
- database concepts.
- Ability to manage ERP enhancements and system projects.
