Deputy Head of Business Growth and Innovation - Enterprise
Job Purpose
The Deputy Head of Business Growth & Innovation drives the university’s enterprise agenda by leading strategic initiatives that expand business opportunities, strengthen market competitiveness, and foster innovation. The role is pivotal in shaping sustainable growth models, cultivating partnerships, and positioning the university as a leader in entrepreneurship, consultancy, and industrial engagement.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead the design and execution of enterprise strategies, consultancy services, and growth initiatives aligned with the university’s vision and revenue goals.
- Represent the university in high-level forums, industry networks, and strategic events to enhance visibility and forge long-term collaborations.
- Oversee the creation of high-value proposals, service offerings, and contractual agreements that maximize revenue and strengthen competitive positioning.
- Design and deliver impactful programs, workshops, and events that accelerate startup growth, build entrepreneurial capacity, and deepen ecosystem engagement.
- Develop and execute partnership strategies with government, investors, venture capitalists, and industry stakeholders to expand opportunities.
- Provide leadership for consultancy and enterprise portfolios, ensuring timely delivery, resource optimization, and measurable impact.
- Oversee seed funding processes, due diligence, and governance frameworks to prepare startups for sustainable investment.
- Ensure alignment of all enterprise activities with strategic priorities, KPIs, and performance monitoring systems.
- Undertake assignments as delegated by the Head of Enterprise.
Job Requirements
Educational Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, or related field (required).
- Master’s degree in Business, Innovation, or Strategy (preferred).
- Experience
- 8–12 years in business development, strategy, innovation, consulting, or growth management. Proven track record in leading enterprise initiatives and external partnerships.
