Treasury Accountant - Finance
Job Purpose
The Treasury Accountant is responsible for supporting treasury operations by assisting in the cash flow activities, banking transactions, liquidity requirements, and financial records. Also, ensures effective monitoring of bank accounts, timely payments, and compliance with financial controls and treasury policies.
Job Responsibilities
- Receive cash payments from students, parents, employees, and other clients in accordance with approved procedures.
- Monitor daily treasury transactions and maintain accurate records.
- Maintain documentation related to banking facilities, guarantees, and treasury transactions.
- Record all cash receipts and payment transactions accurately in the system.
- Support treasury reconciliations and daily cash balance monitoring.
- Receive cheques from clients and coordinate their deposit into university bank accounts.
- Ensure compliance with internal financial controls and treasury procedures.
- Support month-end closing by providing treasury-related reconciliations and reports.
- Undertake any additional duties as assigned by the line manager.
Job Requirements
- Educational Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Experience
- 1-3 years of experience.
- Human Resources Office BUE-HR-OD-101
- Experience in bank reconciliation and cash flow monitoring.
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
- Familiarity with ERP systems such as
- Oracle ERP Cloud or SAP ERP.
- Ability to prepare and maintain accurate financial records.
- Strong knowledge of treasury operations and cash management.
