SME’s Business Development Coordinator
Job Purpose
Business Development Coordinators identify, develop and secure new business opportunities
by generating leads and sales, maintaining client relationships and coordinating promotional
activities.
Job Responsibilities
· Create and implement sales strategies and identify new markets to enter.
· Conduct market research to identify new business development opportunities.
· Establish and maintain effective relationships with customers via email, phone, and in-
person.
· Coordinate and arrange client events, meetings, appointments, and conferences.
· Assist with the preparation of presentations and pitches for prospective clients.
· Write and distribute agendas, proposals, cost estimates, and briefing documents for
internal and external meetings.
· Create and maintain client databases and mail lists.
· Track submitted proposals and provide feedback to management.
· Provide effective administrative support
Job Requirements
Educational Qualifications · Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or business administration is preferable. · MBA is a plus.
Experience · 3 to 5 years’ experience in the industrial sector. · Proven experience working with SME’s. · Experience working with government and industrial support entities. · Experience in contract financing, and trade financing, will be an added advantage.
Technical Skills · Good skills in networking, financial analysis, and sales, proactive, energetic, integrity and possess good business acumen. · Good interpersonal and communication skills and ability to interact with people at all levels. · Able to work independently with min supervision and Target Success Driven. · Extensive sales experience. · Intuitive and insightful, particularly regarding human behaviour. · Ability to generate revenue by identifying pain points and suggesting suitable products or services. · Professional yet affable disposition. · Neat, well-groomed appearance. · Great networking skills. · Excellent written and verbal communication. · Resourceful, with outstanding research skills. · Emboldened by challenges. ·
