Who we are
We want to support you every step of the way on your journey with us and we understand that sometimes when you are experiencing problems it can be helpful to talk about them with someone else. Often that might be friends, family or a member of staff, but sometimes it can also be helpful to talk to an impartial counsellor who is outside of the situation, and who has experience in discussing similar issues.
How We Can Help
The Student Hub offers a short term, self-referral, Counselling & Mental Health service. Our specialist counsellor is an expert in talking about a range of mental health topics including:
- Loss of appetite or change in eating habits
- Worries about drugs or alcohol.
Our student Counselling Service offers you an opportunity to discuss concerns in a way that is different to talking to someone you know. Our counsellor has many years of experience, the service is free to use, supportive, safe and confidential.
It’s important to remember that the Student Counselling Service isn’t meant to support students with long term challenges but rather help individuals overcome short term obstacles. Students with diagnosed or long-term mental health conditions should contact The Student Hub for further information.
