President of the University of North Dakota Mark Kennedy, accompanied by the President of the British University in Egypt (BUE) Prof. Ahmed Hamad, and the Vice Dean of the Faculty of Communication and Mass Media Dr. Adel Saleh, has visited, on August 12, the newly established studios of the Faculty of Mass Media in his one-day visit to BUE.
Mr.Kennedy, roundly applauded the university’s efforts in enhancing the education performance, expressing his admiration for the highly equipped TV studios that use virtual reality technology in broadcasting.
“You have done a lot of progress in twelve years, and you have a lot of substantive faculties with great equipment,” Mr.Kennedy said.
Prof.Hamad said BUE is keen to set up transfer visits for both students and staff to the University of Dakota.
“We hope to improve our prospects and to enhance our taught programmes in consistent with other international programs,” Prof Hamad was quoted. Meanwhile, Dr.Saleh, noted that the Faculty of Mass Media will seek research cooperation with the University of Dakota, adding “we are aiming to work tighter in the field of research to share our experience with international counterparts.”
Mr.Kennedy has also visited the faculty’s integrated newsroom which is connected directly to the TV studio in addition to the lecture halls and class rooms, and concluded his visit by saying “It has been a great visit here to the BUE campus in learning about wonderful faculties and all the progress that is maintained in the last twelve years.” BUE has been seeking partnerships with many international universities for the sake of producing a well rooted education.
