The BUE & the Faculty of Law is proudly announcing that the team representing it, for the first time, in the largest International Law Moot Court Competition “Philip C. Jessup” won the third place for its 2020 Egyptian National Round. Also, the Faculty is delighted to announce that Leila Khaled, degree year one student, won the prize of the “Best Oralist” of the round while Rafik Ramez, degree year student, won the prize of the “Best Oralist” of the team.
The Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition is an advocacy competition for law students simulating a fictional dispute between countries before the International Court of Justice, the judicial organ of the United Nations. One team is allowed to participate from every eligible school. Teams prepare oral and written pleadings arguing both the applicant and respondent positions of the case.
The team representing the Faculty during its first participation in JESSUP competition was coached by Ms Aya Omar whom we deeply congratulate along with the team consisting of the below students:

- Mohamed Magdy (DY1 student) Top ten best oralist
- Leila Khaled (DY1 student and Best Oralist of the 2020 Egyptian National Rounds)
