The Faculty of Communication and Mass Media has signed a protocol of cooperation with the Communication University of China (ECU), on Nov.18.
This is considered to be the first academic cooperation to be concluded between ECU and an Egyptian university in Africa.
The protocol witnessed the presence of head of BUE’s board of trustees Mr.Mohamed Farid Khamis, BUE’s president Prof.Ahmed Hamad, FCMM’s dean Prof.Mohamed Shouman, the Chinese ambassador to Cairo and a representative delegation from ECU.
The protocol aims at providing exchanging programmes, scholarships, and trainings to Mass Media’s students and academic staff.
Meanwhile, Mr.Khamis announced offering five scholarships to journalists for exchanging academic and professional experiences in the field of journalism and media studies.
Mr.Khamis added that this protocol comes in support of scientific research and for enhancing the media performance to play a constructive role.
Prof.Hamad stated “ We are seeking to build strategic partnerships with distinguished universities not only in UK but in all over the world in all fields.”
Prof.Shouman added that this agreement comes within the framework of the implementation of the faculty’s strategic plan of 2017-2022, which aims to expand international relations and cooperation with the corresponding universities in all countries of the world to exchange experiences for the sake of developing the studies at the faculty of communication and mass media.
