On Wednesday 6 January, 2021, The Faculty of Law at the British University in Egypt, as represented by its Dean Professor Hassan Abdelhamid, has signed a protocol of cooperation with the Court of Cassation – the country’s highest judicial body- aiming at enriching the level of legal education at the faculty. The protocol is also expected to help supporting a variety of activities led by the Faculty in the context of communication with the legal community on the local, regional, and international levels. The protocol was signed on Wednesday, in the presence of Professor/ Ahmed Hamad -the President of the British University in Egypt, Professor/ Hassan Abdelhamid – Dean of the faculty of Law, judge Mohamed Hassan Abdellatif -Vice President of the Court of Cassation and Director of International Relations Department at the Court, judge Khaled Farouk – Vice President of the Court of Cassation and Director of Public Relations Department and a number of the Faculty staff and judges of the Court of Cassation. This protocol is an addition to the record of accomplishments of the Law Faculty given the value of the Egyptian Court of Cassation and its influence in the Egyptian legal arena. Signing this protocol follows the graduation of the first patch of students from the Faculty. It is also concurrent with declaring the academic year 2020/2021 as “the year of scientific research” by Professor Hassan Abdelhamid. The Faculty therefore is working on the expected prost-graduate study programmes and on the academic journal on law and technology.
