For the second year in a row, Faculty of Pharmacy, The British University in Egypt in cooperation with the Egyptian Society for Integrated Pharmacy Services have organized the “Arab Pharmacist International Counseling Competition 2020” from 26 to 30 January 2020 under the patronage of Prof. Ahmed Hamad, President of the British University in Egypt and under the supervision of Prof. Mohey Elmazar, Dean of Faculty of Pharmacy.
The program included workshops that were held in the Faculty that introduced what is new in the field of Pharmacy; Pharmacogenetics, Bioinformatics and Biopsychology in addition to holding the annual conference that included lectures over two days in the fields of Family Medicine, Neurology, Psychiatry, Clinical Pharmacy and Nanotechnology.
Students and graduates from Faculties of Pharmacy, Medicine and Science participated in the conference from more than 20 universities, including; Sinai, Misr International, Russian and German, Al Azhar, Assiut, Misr for Science and Technology, Future, Tanta, Cairo, Helwan, Ain Shams, Mansoura, Zagazig, Badr, Alexandria, Pharos, 6 October and the University of Petra, Jordan.
The International Counseling Competition was held for its second year, in which 15 students were qualified to compete in the final stage. The student Yazan Samir Awad, Year 5, Faculty of Pharmacy, The British University in Egypt has won the 1st place, Pharmacist Heba Allah Mustafa from the University of Petra, Jordan has won the 2nd place and the 3rd place was won by student Menna Hisham El-Tahawy, Year 5, Faculty of Pharmacy, The British University in Egypt.
