On Sunday 29th of November 2020 , The British University in Egypt held its Fifth Appreciation Awards Ceremony to honour the outstanding efforts, dedication, and contribution of its academic, administrative and support staff.
The Appreciation Awards Day is an annual event honouring the dedicated service and commitment of staff to the university. It provides an opportunity to congratulate all staff for their service and to show them how much they are appreciated for their individual and collective contributions to its success.
The event was held in the presence of Mrs. Farida Farid Khamis, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the British University in Egypt, Professor Ahmed Hamad, the BUE President and a number of faculty members and administrative staff.
For his part , Professor Hamad, the BUE President said that the honouring ceremony came in the context of appreciating the distinguished employees and honouring them for their efforts and dedication to the university.
During her speech, Mrs Farida Khamis, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the BUE, stated that this speech was very close to her heart because it gave her the chance to thank the people who made this University an outstanding institution as it is. Herself and the entire Board members are grateful to the BUE Faculties and Staff members for sharing their expertise and talents every day with our students with what they need to contribute to Egypt’s prosperity. She also stated that she is privileged to be able to work with all members of the British University in Egypt to continue building the past 13 years. Mrs Farida mentioned that her Father Mr Mohamed Farid Khamis for sure is with us with his spirit and is thanking each and everyone for everything that has been done to the BUE and Its students.
The BUE President Professor Ahmed Hamad then handed the awards as a part of the annual Recognition for those who have worked in the BUE to reward their achievements and contributions in a number of the following categories:
79 honoured employees in the category of 10 Years’ Service.
The BUE looks forward to many more good years to come.
