Graduate studies means so many different things to different people. For some, it is a chance to make a novel discovery, or to pursue a passion. For others, it is an opportunity to develop career potential, or to follow a path toward improving the world we live in.
Consistent with BUE mission “to provide a British-style education of the highest quality supplying graduates that feed and stimulate industry, social and public services and commercial activities of Egypt, the Middle East and beyond,” FICS has embarked on transforming the faculty of informatics and computer science (FICS) into a research-led faculty of the first class by creating research center and attracting internationally recognised, research active academic staff.
In many disciplines, research and learning has become a truly collaborative national and international endeavour where institutional, regional, and national boundaries are no longer an obstacle to collaboration. Faculty as well as students can very easily contact researchers, students, and professionals all over the world, thereby providing them tremendous opportunity to expand their knowledge and enrich their scholarly and learning opportunities.
All of this is exactly what attracted me to my current position: the opportunity to contribute to the shaping of graduate education and the academic experience for our students across the tremendous array of disciplines available at our faculty and also works to encourage researchers from different disciplines to interact with each other to develop their research and ideas, as reflected on the progress of scientific and upgrading postgraduate studies and scientific research. We look forward to the PGSR to work effectively by international quality standards in the provision of graduate studies and research so that it qualifies graduates to work the international level.
At the Postgraduate Studies and Research office, we aim to provide support, encouragement, and clarity during all stages of the graduate experience. If you do not find what you’re looking for, please do not hesitate to contact us, or drop by PGSR admiration office.
