Hassan Ragheb was born in Port-Said, Egypt, in 1953. He received the B. Sc. Degree in Electrical Engineering from Cairo University, Egypt, in 1977 and the M. Sc. and Ph. D. degrees in Electrical Engineering from the University of Manitoba, Winnipeg, Canada, in 1984 and 1987, respectively. From 1987 to 1989, he was a research assistant in the Department of Electrical Engineering, University of Manitoba. From 1989 to 2016 he was with the Department of Electrical Engineering at the King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals, Saudi Arabia, where he was a Professor of Electrical Engineering. In January 2018 he joined the electrical engineering department at the British University in Egypt where he is currently a professor of electrical engineering.
