Dr. Ahmed Mahdi earned his B.A. from the American University in Cairo, majoring in Economics and minoring in International Relations. He earned his MA in International Studies from the University of Sheffield, UK, and his PhD in American and Canadian Studies at the University of Birmingham, UK.

Dr. Mahdi's research interests include US foreign policy, the Middle East, and the geopolitics and international political economy of energy resources.
