Dr. Nikolaos Nikolakakis is an assistant professor of Political Science at the British University in Egypt. He obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and History from the Panteion University of Social and Political Sciences of Athens. He then continued his education in the University of Bologna, Italy, where he studied Law. Following that, he received his Master’s with distinction in International Politics and Security from the University of Dundee, where he commenced his doctoral studies that led to his PhD in September 2017.
Dr. Nikolaos' research interests relate predominately with European Party Politics, the process of European Integration, the European Radical Left, as well as Greek, Italian, and Spanish politics. He is currently working on a project that compares the political discourses of parties of the European Radical Left and leads an international research team that examines islamophobia and antisemitism in the political discourse of the European radical left and the far-right.
