Amira Olayan is Lecturer assistant of Computer Network Faculty of Informatics and Computer Science at the British University in Egypt since 2011. Her first career in the Canadian International College [CIC] from 2006 to 2010 informed and encouraged her subsequent to continue in the academic career. Since joining academia, she has researched and published extensively about MEMS technology, Wireless Sensor Network, and different fileds in both electronics and communication engineering. Also, she has been involved in the industry field 2010 – 2011 as she worked at Etisalat Telecommunications Company in the network department, this year of experience had added to her knowledge and informed her in the field of network by relating the academia study with the real life field.
As the MEMS technology was the main point of the M.Sc. Degree study so that made it one of the most interest research point for Amira Olayan, also the related research fields such as VLSI architecture and design; analog integrated circuits; simulation & modeling; System-on-a-chip design and RF circuit design. While further on she worked in the field of Computer Network and by registering for her PhD in the Body Area Network area, the Data Communications and Networking field of studies became one of the research points of interest to her, such as Communications ICs and Data converters.
