Samah is an assistant lecturer, a certified English language teacher and teachers’ trainer from World Learning SIT, USA. She has been teaching English for eighteen years in Cairo University, Al Ahram Canadian University (ACU), AMIDEAST, the American University in Cairo (AUC) and currently she teaches at the British University in Egypt.

Samah graduated from the Department of English, Faculty of Education, Women’s College, Ain Shams University. Since then, she has been teaching different English courses as business English, academic writing, legal English, research writing, test preparation courses as TOEFL, IELTS and TOEIC. She has an experience in developing English materials for different English courses and has given teachers’ trainings in different contexts. To deepen the knowledge and to sharpen the experience, Samah has studied some international courses and diplomas as the Professional Certificate in English Language Teaching (PCELT), from World Learning to be a certified international teacher and teacher’s trainer. She has received different trainings from different institutions as Critical Thinking Diploma and ESP course from the University of Oregon. Conferences also are one of venues to show development and to share knowledge and experiences nationally and internationally, so Samah presented some papers in different conferences as the Nile TESOL in Egypt, TESOL Arabia in Dubai, The international Conference of Education and Social Science in Turkey, and the Spoken British National Corpus symposium in Britain.

As Academic research is one of her areas of interest in both Education and linguistics; Samah had an MA in International Education in which she focused her research on error analysis of learners of English as a foreign language and the suggested teaching methods of how to guide them through their journey in acquiring the language. The other area of interest is Linguistics where she is very interested in analyzing the language and its use in different contexts. Samah’s MA in linguistics was about analyzing the language used on the internet and how the language has developed whether in its forms or functions.
