My particular focus is on research which links academic investigations with practical outcomes for society. My principal area of interest lies in the strategies for communicating health. I have a special interest in developing cross-cultural research projects in the field of “Health Promotion”.  I worked with the Scottish Health Research Register focusing on researching multiple health issues via raising awareness of researchers in the Scottish universities and research active members of staff in various NHS boards with the importance of utilising SHARE through delivering presentations in various conferences, scientific meetings and public events (2015-2019). I ameliorated my health research through studying “Health Promotion” at a Master’s degree at the Medical School, University of Edinburgh (2012) and the School of Health Sciences, Robert Gordon University (2014/15) At the University of Edinburgh, my Master’s degree graduation project focused on “Addressing Tobacco Control among Young People in Scotland”. I also earned a CPD in “Promoting Health in Practice” from the School of Health Sciences, Robert Gordon University where I focused on “The relation Between Food Advertising and Child Obesity”. While studying as a master’s student at the Medical School, the University of Edinburgh; I still managed to keep my role as a Senior Editor at the STRYVLING /SPARK Postgraduate Journal, University of Stirling (2011-2014). My post-doctoral research at the University of Stirling focus centred on evaluating campaigns that aim at raising awareness with health issues. I also studied how Social Media transformed local protestors into Global Citizen Journalists In my position as a post-doctoral fellow at the Film, Media & Journalism Department at the University of Stirling (2007-2011), I investigated the behaviour of Egyptian farmers in response to the campaign which aimed to raise their awareness of the risks of “Bird Flu”. The research was adopted by the WHO in Egypt. My previous research in a similar field explored the role of the media in increasing knowledge and understanding of “Renal Failure” disease amongst Egyptians.
