Basma Hathout received her B.Sc. in Informatics and Computer Science, specialized in Software Engineering and her M.Sc. in Web Science from the British University in Egypt in 2011 and 2017 respectively. Just graduating, she joined the academic career as teaching assistant in the department of Informatics and Computer Science at Thebas Academy for 2 years, from 2012 to 2014. From 2014 till now, she joined the Faculty of Informatics and Computer Science, the British University in Egypt. In 2018 she has been promoted to Assistant Lecturer. During those years, she has prepared and taught different courses, co-teach, helped as an Academic Assistant for the vice dean of post graduate and research and been assigned the faculty’s sub web master. Currently she is working on an 18-month funded project entitled “Applying deep learning model on the skeleton features of face images for implementing a robust age detection system”.
