Ahmed was awarded his MSc degree in Entrepreneurship and Innovation at The University of Edinburgh. He received the Chevening scholarship award for 2018/2019. Chevening is the UK government’s international awards program aimed at developing global leaders and funded by the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) and partner organizations. The recipients of which are personally selected by British Embassies and High Commissions throughout the world.
As an engineering graduate, Ahmed have +7 years of experience working with multinational corporates. He has a demonstrated record of working in different industries with various organizations.
Also, Ahmed is an enthusiastic entrepreneurial mindset who is passionate about entrepreneurship, innovation, technology and design thinking. He has engaged with various entrepreneurial ecosystems through his journey. Ahmed had cofounded a solar energy company “SunUtions” which partnered with PepsiCo company in Liter of Light Project in Egypt. The project was successfully implemented in 13 villages in upper Egypt.
During his time in UK, Ahmed volunteered as a Strategic Partnerships Director for ScartchEd Maps team, to help raise money for children in Scotland. They converted a 500£ seed capital into 5000£ revenues in 5 months to win the Innovation Award of Dragon's Glen Competition of Children 1st Charity. He was awarded the Edinburgh Award for Professional Development and Edinburgh Award Enterprise for his efforts during his study time.
