Ms. Laila Amr

Ms. Laila Amr earned her B.A in Psychology from the American University in Cairo with highest honors. She has various experiences in the field of psychology and education. She worked in the field of special education, supporting and teaching children with Autism and Down Syndrome. She interned in a Psychiatric Hospital where she received training in Psychotherapy of addiction and other mental health issues. She also worked with young adults in universities, promoting students' well being on campus. She is currently enrolled in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy Diploma.

Laila joined the BUE as a Demonstrator at the Department of Psychology in 2019. Her teaching methodologies are based on experiential learning. She believes that students learn best by doing and reflecting on the material.

Education, Human Rights of persons with disabilities, Cognitive Behaviour therapy for Depression and Anxiety disorders. In addition to gender and mental health issues.
