May Soliman is a lecturer of Linguistics and the Staff Development Coordinator at the Faculty of Arts and Humanities. May joined the BUE in 2013. Before that, she was a fellow at the AUC from September 2010 to February 2012. She also worked in many educational institutions in Cairo including Misr International university, The Arab Open University and The Modern Academy where she taught English for academic purpose courses, grammar, senior seminar, conversation, academic writing and advanced oral communication.

Education

May Soliman graduated from the Faculty of Alsun, Ain Shams University in 2003. She also obtained a Master’s degree in Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) from the American University in Cairo, in 2012. She obtained her Ph.D. from Cairo University in 2019.

Research Interests

May Soliman is generally interested in the field of second language acquisition, teaching methodology, assessment and the use of technology in EFL.
