| Cultural Trip |

The BUE Cultural Club orgaised a visit to the Egyptian Museum, and it was attended by a number of students and staff members. After a long day in the museum, a lunch by the River Nile followed. |

| Entertainment Club |
 |
The Entertainment Club held a one-day trip to Fagnoon, a place combining three elements art, creativity and madness. Students used their imagination to build, paint and have fun. |

| Football Tournament |
 |
A football tournament was organised by BUE Student Activities Department on the newly opened sports field to choose next year’s University Football Team. |

| El Sokhna Trip |
 |
BUE staff and students enjoyed a great weekend at Ain El Sokhna. |
|
| Orphans’ Day |
 |
Make a Change (MaC), a society established by BUE students aiming at promoting understanding of social issues and supporting the socially disadvantaged, organised an “Orphans’ World – A New Vision” event where orphans from Gam’ayat El Hassant El Khayreya Orphanage were invited to spend a fun day at the BUE. |

| Blood Donation Campaign |

A Blood Donation Campaign was organised by the BUE together with the National Blood Transfusion Centre, Ministry of Health & Population. |

| Political Science Seminars |
 |
The BUE’s Political Science Department organised a seminar by Ms. Rula Khalafawi, Head of United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) in Cairo, who talked about the nature of the work of the organisation and about Palestinian refugees. “Around Darfur in 80 days” was the title of another seminar delivered by Ms. M. Natasha Yacoub, UN Protection Officer, where she elaborated on the conflict in Darfur and spoke about her personal experiences in this regard as well. |

| Internship Fair |

As part of its commitment to enhance the quality of its students and to prepare them for the competitive employment market, BUE held a Summer Internship Fair last month. Twenty three renowned corporations participated and offered a wide range of internship opportunities. The participating companies included Barclays, British Council, Commercial International Bank, Grand Hyatt Cairo, Halliburton, HP, METITO, Orbit, PricewaterhouseCoopers, Raya Holding, TE Data, and Vodafone. Company representatives were impressed by the calibre and quality of BUE students. |

| Rotary Protocol |
 |
BUE signed a protocol with Rotary by which it will give an introductory course to computer applications to partially hearing impaired people. The University has designated and designed a lab for this purpose. |

| Diwan |
 |
Student Activities Department organized a mini-book fair by Diwan book store. |
|
