The establishment of the Farouk El-Baz Centre for Sustainability and Future Studies (FECSFS) as a Research and Development (R&D) center to achieve the recommendations of the conferences, adopting new ideas, innovative solutions and fruitful discussions relating to sustainability issues towards serving the university and the Egyptian community at all levels. (FECSFS) facilitates discussion and research on eco-design and environmental, economic, ethical and social considerations for the future. This is achieved through training and education, research, seminars, workshops, conferences, consultancy and publications. The Centre also acts as a data bank focusing on innovative thinking and sustainable strategies.
