  • Fields of Interest:

    I am a Neurophysiologist who is interested in all recent advances in Neuroscience. Special focus of my research is devoted to Cardiovascular Neuroscience.

    Over the recent years, I have developed an innovative approach to teaching and conducting research in Neuroscience with undergraduates through creating course materials in both laboratory and classroom settings.

    The research project I intend to pursue at the Pharmacology Department, Faculty of Pharmacy, The British University in Egypt (BUE) involves the development of teaching Neuroscience.

    Member of the Scientific Research Team of the Italian Project "Natural Toxins, Ionic Channels and the Process of Myogenesis": On the basis of Art. 10 of the Agreement on Scientific and Technological Cooperation between Italy and Egypt, which was signed in Cairo on 29th April 1975, a meeting of the Joint Committee was held in Cairo on 29th February 2004, within the framework of the Protocol of Scientific and Technological Cooperation between Italy and Egypt signed in Cairo on 25th June 2001, in order to review the present state of scientific and technological cooperation between the two countries and future prospects. The Egyptian delegation was led by the Minister of Higher Education and the Minister of State for Scientific Research. The Italian delegation was led by the Italian Ambassador in Egypt. In December 2002, a joint call for proposals has been launched to collect bilateral research projects. Only 25 research projects have been selected to be granted financial support for the exchange of the Italian and Egyptian researchers (2004-2006).
