The British University in Egypt (BUE) has membership with the CPD (Continuing Professional Development Certification Service) which is based in London. Established in 1996, The CPD Certification Service is the independent CPD accreditation centre working across all sectors, disciplines and further learning applications. Amongst the university members of the CPD are: Universities of Oxford, Liverpool, Manchester, Sheffield, London School of Economics, King’s College London, St Mary’s …Qualified Students, of both institutions, might be eligible for study abroad and/or exchange programmes at the partner University. In addition, staff exchanges enhancing teaching and mutual research collaborations between both institutions will be encouraged. A fundamental aspect of the collaboration will be joint international Research and Enterprise projects to address global issues with a strong focus on sustainability, energy and related matters.
CPD certified training means that the content and structure of the training programmes have reached the required CPD standards and benchmarks. The learning value has been scrutinised to ensure integrity and quality. The CPD Certification Service provide recognised independent CPD assessment compatible with global CPD standards.
Currently, the BUE has three Training Programmes that have been independently evaluated for Continuing Professional Development purposes by The CPD Certification Service. This means our training programmes comply with universally accepted principles of Continual Professional Development (CPD). The three training programmes are:

- Passport to Effective Teaching for Fresh Graduate Teaching Assistants
