  • Bio: Ahmed Abdel-Azim Ahmed is a professor in the mechanical Engineering department, BUE for almost 10 years with 24 years of experience in the field of Energy Engineering in both streams of renewable and non-renewable sources. After getting his BSc and MSc degrees in mechanical engineering he received a PhD in 2004 from Wayne State University, Detroit, MI and Shoubra Faculty of Engineering, Cairo, Egypt through a Joint and supervision scholarship program in the field of predicting and controlling combustion in internal combustion engines. He was working on developing renewable energy applications especially the ones related to solar energy for the last 11 years. Prof. Ahmed has supervised 23 MSc and PhD postgraduate theses and about 70 graduation projects. He has about 37 of technical publications in the field of energy, two book chapters, and two Arabic books in the field of solar energy. Prof. Ahmed is registered now as a lead solar expert in different organizations.
