The British University in Egypt (BUE) and Loughborough University (LU) have enjoyed a strategic partnership since the foundation of the BUE in September 2005. This has led to cooperation between our institutions, which has included the validation of BUE degrees in Business Administration (6 programmes), Economics, Political Science, in Information and Computer Science (4 programmes) and in Engineering (4 programmes). Students graduating from the (BUE), who satisfy the regulatory requirements, will receive a degree certificate from the British University in Egypt (BUE) fully accredited by the Supreme Council of Egyptian Universities, hence in Egypt and the Arab region, and another degree certificate from Loughborough University, at the same time. LU will continue to validate these programmes for students entering the University in 2013-2014 and thus BUE and LU will be associated in the awarding of validated degrees until 2016-2017 in the case of programmes in Business, Economics, Political Sciences and Information and Computer Science, and until 2017-2018 in the case of the four specific programmes in Engineering.
