Augmented Reality Arts

Professor Vladimir Geroimenko has published a new book “Augmented Reality Art: From an Emerging Technology to a Novel Creative Medium”, Springer, 2018.
This research monograph includes 384 pages and 21 chapters. Professor Geroimenko edited the book and also contributed to it with 3 chapters. The book was co-authored by 30 leading researchers and artists from 12 countries (Australia, Canada, Egypt, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, Romania, Slovenia, UAE, UK, and USA).
This is the second edition of the first ever book to explore the exciting new field of augmented reality art and its enabling technologies (the first edition was published in 2014). The new edition has been thoroughly revised and updated, and contains 5 new chapters. As well as investigating augmented reality as a novel artistic medium the book covers cultural, social, spatial and cognitive facets of augmented reality art.
