As part of their full strategic academic partnership in Learning and Teaching, Research and Enterprise, The British University in Egypt (BUE) and London South Bank (LSBU) are pleased to announce that the following undergraduate and postgraduate degree programmes, delivered by BUE, are now validated by LSBU in accordance with the regulations of the UK Quality Assurance Agency: Undergraduate degrees: Faculty of Business, Economics, and Political Science  Business Administration (Business Studies - Human Resources Management - Accounting & Finance Marketing-Management Information Systems-Entrepreneurship & Sustainability - International Business)  Economics  Political Science Faculty of Communication & Mass Media Faculty of Engineering  Architectural Engineering  Civil Engineering (Civil – Construction Engineering & Management)  Electrical Engineering  Mechanical Engineering  Chemical Engineering (Petrochemicals-Environmental-Pharmaceutical)  Petroleum Engineering Faculty of Informatics & Computer Science  Computer Science  Information Systems  Software Engineering  Computer Networks Postgraduate Degrees: Faculty of Engineering  Renewable Energy  Advanced Materials Faculty of Informatics & Computer Science  Web Science Students who successfully graduate from these programmes will receive both a BUE degree accredited by the Egyptian Supreme Council of Universities and a LSBU degree. BUE and LSBU are proud to say that this represents one of the largest provisions of British Higher Education in the Middle East. Consistent with the intention of maintaining standards it is supported by an active Research and Enterprise agenda. This will, in addition to sustaining and enhancing the academic quality of the degree programmes, advances the Mission of BUE to contribute to the positive development of Egypt and the entire region.

Important changes have recently taken place in Egypt, Higher Education and at the BUE. They have occurred, or only been acknowledged, since the current Strategic Plan 2012 - 17 was originally formulated. Thus the draft revision (attached) seeks to address the challenges they pose and opportunities they offer.
