Faculty of Communication and Mass Media at the British University in Egypt Signs Protocol of Cooperation with SIS

The Faculty of Communication and Mass Media has signed a protocol of cooperation and partnership with Egypt’s State Information Service (SIS) on Wednesday 13th of September, 2018 that will be activated starting from the new academic year for four years and to be automatically renewed.

The protocol is designed to provide training opportunities for the academic staff, graduates and students, in addition to synchronize workshops symposium in different fields that would serve and enhance the educational and training process. 
The protocol agreement was signed by Professor Ahmed Hamad, President of the British University in Egypt, Mr.Diaa Rashwan, Head of the State of Information Service (SIS) and Professor Mohamed Shouman, Dean of the Faculty of Communication and Mass Media.
Professor Shouman said that the protocol comes within the framework of implementing the faculty’s strategy until 2020, by building partnerships with local, regional and international media institutions, thus enhancing the opportunities of graduates to obtain training and work opportunities after graduation. Adding that it also helps to develop the faculty’s curriculum by identifying the needs of the market and including them in the curriculum.

According to the protocol, a specialized technical committee will be formed to set plans and framework for joint activities, in addition to proposing recommendations for the development of the protocol.
