    Dr. Laila Khodeir obtained her bachelor in Architecture Engineering from Ain Shams University (ASU), Egypt 2002. Since then she worked as a teaching assistant at the Faculty of Engineering/ Ain Shams University, in addition to working as an architect and interior designer in a number of architecture firms. She earned her Master’s degree in the field of Sustainable Design in 2005, the thesis was entitled” The Impact of Social Communities on Eco-lodge Design Criteria”. Her PHD addressed a topic that was newly emerging in Egypt” Facility and Maintenance Management”. She earned her PHD degree in 2010. She was honored by the minister of higher education on the “Science Day” as one of the youngest PHD holders in ASU. In 2013, Dr. Laila was among the staff members of the department of Architecture at ASU who initiated an annual event” FEDA Week”, where she managed a community participation event that was dedicated to young kids and teens. The event was named “How to Build Your Own Dream House. “ Dr. Laila joined the British University in Egypt (BUE) in 2014, since then she was involved in teaching up – to-date courses in a variety or correlated disciplines; Building Services and Sustainable Design, Building Construction and Management, Project Management and Architecture Design. Academically, Dr. Laila has successfully supervised a number of PHD and Master Dissertations. In addition, she has published a number of remarkable research papers in both international conferences and academic journals. To date, she has already published ten refereed journal papers and five conference papers.
