Applicants are eligible for various scholarships according to their academic, sports and other achievements as shown below.
Scholarship Terms & Conditions
- An applicant who qualifies for more than one scholarship will be awarded whichever scholarship is the highest.
- Except for Special 100% Scholarships offered to qualified applicants, the maximum tuition fee discount granted by scholarships is 50%.
- All scholarship discounts apply to the Tuition Fees only.
- Except for the Partner Schools Scholarship, all scholarships are one year awards and are re-evaluated at the beginning of every academic year based on the student’s academic, sports and other achievements during the previous year, as appropriate.
- All scholarships are granted on the condition that the student successfully progresses to the following year.
- All scholarships granted are conditional on payment of fees before the published deadlines.
- The above rules for scholarships will be applied to Student Affairs as of the academic year 2008/2009.
Academic Achievement Scholarship
Accepted applicants achieving top grades in Secondary/High school will be granted the following academic scholarships:

In addition, the first ten students to apply out of the Top 100 Thanaweya Amma students will receive a 100% Scholarship funded by the MF Khamis Foundation.
Sports Achievement Scholarship
Accepted applicants with top sports achievements will be granted the following sports scholarships:
- National Championship: 25% for First, Second and Third places
- International Championship: 50% for First, Second and Third places
Partner School Scholarship
Accepted applicants from Partner Schools will be granted a 20% scholarship for the 4 years (or 5 years in case of Engineering) duration of their degree programmes. Please contact the Student Affairs Office for more information about Secondary/high schools that have been designated by BUE as Partner Schools.
Sibling Scholarship
If more than one sibling is studying at BUE, each sibling will be granted a 10% scholarship as long as they are all registered and in good standing (pass).
BUE Staff Scholarship
Sons and daughters of BUE Staff will be granted a 25% scholarship as long as they are registered and in good standing (pass).
Egyptian State University Staff Scholarship
Sons and daughters of Academic Staff of Egyptian State Universities will be granted a 15% scholarship as long as they are registered and in good standing (pass).
Deceased Guardian Scholarship
Students who unfortunately suffer the death of their guardian while studying at BUE will be granted a 50% scholarship as long as the student is registered and in good standing (pass).
Special Scholarship
Special scholarships are offered to qualified applicants in the name of individuals and companies. BUE offers 100% scholarships in the names of HE Suzanne Mubarak, HRH Prince of Wales, HRH Duchess of Cornwall, and Mr Moataz El-Alfy. Please contact the Student Affairs Office for more information about these scholarships and eligibility criteria.
NB. Applicants who do not qualify for any of the BUE Scholarships are entitled to a 10% discount on tuition fee instalments on the condition that they submit all the required documentation and pay the fee instalments by the published dates and provided they successfully progress to the following year.
Continuing Student Academic Achievement Scholarship
Students must maintain a high academic performance each academic year in order to retain their Academic Achievement Scholarship as shown in the table below:

New Scholarship Scheme For Partner Schools
Accepted applicants from Partner Schools will be granted a 20% scholarship throughout their academic years of study, provided they are successful on their academic programmes. Please contact the Student Affairs Office for more information about secondary/high schools that have been designated by BUE as partner schools
Note: students who have not maintained a scholarship or who have joined BUE with no scholarship but have managed to raise their yearly average to one of the above levels in subsequent years will become eligible for an academic scholarship according to their academic performance.
