| Professor Motaz Khorshid obtained his first PhD in Computer Science and Operations Research and the second PhD in Management Sciences from Paris University. His MSc. was in Industrial Engineering from Cairo University and the BSc. in Mechanical Engineering from Ain Shams University. He obtained also a higher diploma in Economic planning from the institute of National planning and an Advanced Diploma in Computer Simulation from Paris University.
Professor Khorshid worked as a Vice President of Cairo University, a Chief Technical Advisor in the United Nations, a Dean and Vice Dean of the Faculty of Information and Computers of Cairo University, a Director of the Arab Council for graduate Studies and Scientific Research and as a Research Scientist in Kuwait Institute for Scientific Research. Professor Khorshid has developed socioeconomic databases and constructed Economy Wide Models for Egypt, Kuwait, UAE, Yemen and Palestine.His research interest is focused on computer aided Decision Support System (DSS), computer Simulation Techniques, Economic Modeling, Socioeconomic Analysis, Higher education Systems, Development Planning and Corporate Planning Models.
Professor Khorshid is the president of the Egyptian Society for Software Engineers, a member of the Egyptian Society for Decision Support and operations Research, a Research Fellow in the Economic Research Forum of the Middle East and North Africa and the International Economic Modeling Network. Professor Khorshid has been awarded the “Academic Palm” from the government of France. |
